Grandma is coming soon!

Since we moved here 2 years ago, we have seen my mom one time for a couple of days last year.  We talk every day - several times a day, but it’s just too hard to find money to go up for visits.  She and my brother are coming down for a visit.  My daughter and her grandma have a very fun relationship.  I tease that my mom babysits from afar.  When my daughter wakes up, the first thing she does is bring me the phone to call Grandma.  Grandma reads several stories to her, and keeps her company until I can finally pry my eyes open.

So we will be busy cleaning, and making cards and special treats for our loved ones.  My brother is disabled - he’ll be getting Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment to see if it makes a difference so long after his injury.  It’s a little like living with Rain Man sometimes, but my daughter adores him, and it teaches her (and me) opportunities for extra kindness and patience.  It also exposes her to people “less abled”  and that we love them so much - our value is in being one of God’s creations, not in our human perfection.

For now, I guess the child support “stuff” is on hold until April with the next review date.  As of today, the 28th, I’m not aware that the complete payment for March has been made - and we’ll see what happens next month.  At some point there will have to be an accountability to the agreement that was signed and what is done.
