Another new balance - July 08

And the balance continues to grow….$9,360.90.
I guess, I’ll just look for the big 10k next month.

Feb New Balance

Right around $7200.00. I don’t have the exact amount because the interest charge hasn’t been added in yet.
I’ll have to see if Feb is included in the contempt process or if that will at some point count as the first count in the next one.

Hearing today

Well today was interesting. Ted didn’t show up for the modification review. The judge ordered an increase in child support. I’m actually very pleased with the amount. It more than doubled, and was made retroactive to August.

Protecting children

Single moms - from a married dad’s perspective

From Parenting.com
“An unplanned pregnancy can really test a person. Too many fathers disappear, not wanting to change diapers, alter their lifestyle, or send child support. Too many mothers look at their baby as a burden and pawn the child off to as many relatives as they can find. But fortunately, many more single parents summon [...]

Another Random California Child Support Fact

In Orange County there are nearly 93,000 open child support cases.  Most  recent statistics are from early 2006 - can you believe there were only 7 complaints in that time?  I would think there would be three times that amount on the 45 minute phone hold time alone.
